Susan specializes in working with children who suffer from anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral issues and trauma; young adults; adults, and couples. Susan is experienced at working with children and adults with cancer and other life-threatening and chronic illnesses. Undergoing a major procedure can leave the after-affects of PTSD and trauma to the body and emotions, and Susan has helped many sufferers heal.
Susan also assists women dealing with post-partum depression. She helps women when they have had to make a difficult choice regarding the continuation of a pregnancy, and works with women to reduce the shame and guilt that can linger.
When appropriate, Susan enjoys helping people utilize art materials to increase wellness, reduce stress and anxiety, and express feelings. Susan has taught workshops at Lakeside and local organizations on stress management, mindfulness, and journaling.
Treatment is uniquely tailored to each individual’s needs and is done in partnership with the individual or family.
