Individuals who suffer from depression often times are unhappy and sad.  They are unable to find much joy in life.  They may actually feel like harming themselves.

The following symptoms are frequently associated with Depression:

• Often times crying over little things.
• May think of harming oneself.
• Finding no pleasure in life.
• An overwhelming need to be punished.
• Poor concentration and poor self-esteem.
• A feeling of worthlessness.
• Sleeping too many hours or the inability to sleep.
• A loss of appetite or eating too much.
• Fatigued.
• No hope for the future.
• Feeling helpless and hopeless.
